An independent fabric store rooted in the lovely, funky, creative community of South Austin.

There are three things we aim to provide in our fabric collection:

• unusual, exciting, beautiful fabric for creating clothing and crafts
  
• Eco-friendly and human-friendly sources and fibers
  
• reasonable prices

ALL of our fabrics meet the first criterion, but sometimes it’s difficult to hit all three in one. We have organics, hemp, and bamboo, and we also have manufactured and synthetic fabrics. Organics and designer cottons are unavoidably higher priced.

Fabric highlights:

• wool, hemp fleece, corduroy, cotton velveteen, cotton flannel
• light weight 100% cottons – voile, lawn, batiste, Italian shirtings
• various blends of cotton, linen, silk, rayon, hemp, and bamboo
• Kokka, a fun Japanese import cotton print
• solids of silk charmeuse and washed silk
• knit solids and prints

In order to meet our quality and price goals, we often buy designer overruns, so our inventory is frequently updated. We  also carry “running goods” (fabrics that will be consistently reordered and available) and staples such as interfacing, lining, and closures.
